We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer. This is a permanent opportunity which will report directly to the Asset Maintenance Manager.
The Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after circa £500 million investment over the last few years. It is also the home of Nescafe and Dolce Gusto in the UK producing a range of beverage products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines.
The factory is a Centre of excellence for Nescafé products around the world producing freeze-dried, spray dried and pod coffee technologies and is at the forefront of coffee innovation globally.

Your impact
Ultimately, you will be responsible for the maintenance and running of the assets and machinery within the Coffee Packaging department
Your other key responsibilities will include:
• Support the Build and implementation the department OMP.
• Ensure compliance to the Nestlé quality policy including engineering change management & line release.
• Drive plant reliability through effective coordination and coaching whilst delivering fixed cost reductions.
• Coordination and implementation of the departmental maintenance strategy.
• Analysis of breakdowns, with a root cause mindset, taking ownership of follow up actions and roll out.
• Supporting the capability build across the department with a strong competency build plan.
Your ingredients for success
The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced engineer, ideally with a strong background in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Other key criteria:
• Time served apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent. – essential
• Ideally multi-skilled but Electrical or Mechanical Bias will also be considered.
• Can work as part of a team delivering compliance in safety and quality.
• Have excellent problem solving and prioritisation skills.
• TPM understanding is a must.
