We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, to join our team based at our Nestlé UK&I, Tutbury Factory. This is a permanent opportunity which will report into the Manufacturing Asset Maintenance Manager.

 

This role is responsible for maintaining and developing the equipment and systems within the factory in a manner that upholds the quality of the operation, with regards to production output, product quality and cost effectiveness.

Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Staffordshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after circa £500 million investment over the last few years. The factory is a Centre of excellence for Nescafé products around the world producing freeze-dried, spray dried and pod coffee technologies and is at the forefront of coffee innovation globally.

Your impact

Ultimately, you will be responsible for all technical matters on shift across your area of the factory.

 

You will be working to drive improvements in the performance of machinery and assets, technically supporting the shift leader and developing the technical skills within the engineering and operational teams.

 

•    Providing technical support to the Engineering and Shift Management Teams.

•    Problem solving and efficient reactive maintenance in breakdown situations.

•    Driving the use of break down analysis to continuously improve asset intensity.

•    Completion of planned/scheduled maintenance activities in line with factory KPI’s.

•    Supporting the AMM strategy by continually seeking opportunities to revise and improve planned maintenance activities and preventative maintenance plans.

 

Your ingredients for success

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a Manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate engineering knowledge across maintenance, industrial services and automation.

 

You will also ideally:

 

  • Be qualified to NVQ level 3/City & Guilds and/or equivalent time served apprenticeship.
  • Ideally multi-skilled but single skills will also be considered. Experience on clarifiers, pumps and valves will also be a distinct advantage.
  • Will have the ability to deliver compliance in safety, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Will be able to support the development of the operational teams.
  • Will have strong fault-finding skills and proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
