Salary: Circa £30,000 depending on experience.

Working hours: 9am-5pm, Monday -Friday.

We are recruiting for a Technical Stores Operator at our state-of-the-art Coffee Manufacturing plant in Tutbury, Derbyshire.  This is a permanent opportunity which will report into the site Stores Manager.

 

The Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after circa £500 million investment over the last few years. It is also the home of Nescafe and Dolce Gusto in the UK producing a range of beverage products.

Your impact

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the maintenance of the store levels on site, with a particular focus on our Engineering parts availability. You will be responsible for stock availability and relevant KPI's as well as maintaining good relationships with suppliers.

 

You will support the Technical Stores manager in leading the implementation and execution of spare part management routines aimed to ensure spare parts availability at optimum inventory levels and cost of operation.

 

Your other key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Receive deliveries from suppliers ensuring correct allocation and maintain Globe by creating stock items and maintaining MRP data. 
  • Support all activities for spare parts, such as receiving and issue, storage and reorder.
  • Analyse slow moving parts to ensure no obsolete parts are being held on stock. 
  • Establish and execute inventory control including cycle counting, access process and training. 
  • Producing Reservation parts "kitting" from both stores stock and incoming deliveries. Adding work order identification to kits.
  • Delivery of Kits to local engineering workshops before scheduled maintenance start date.

 

Your ingredients for success

 

To be successful in this role you will ideally have a proven track record within a Technical Stores inventory or materials management environment.

 

Experience of using SAP or similar MRP systems and software is essential in this role.

 

Other criteria:

  • Proficient user in MS Office, with experience of Excel highly desirable.
  • FLT Licence is desirable but not essential. (Counterbalance or Reach)
