Location: Tutbury Factory, Derbyshire

Salary: £37,359.00 (+20% shift allowance)

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday rotating on a 2-shift system – Week 1 6am - 2pm, Week 2 12pm – 8pm.

We are recruiting for an Engineering Technician within our Workshop, based at out Tutbury Factory. This is a permanent opportunity which will report into the Workshop Manager.

 

The Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after circa £500 million investment over the last few years. The factory is a Centre of excellence for Nescafé products around the world producing freeze-dried, spray dried and pod coffee technologies and is at the forefront of coffee innovation globally.

Your impact

You will be responsible for effectively maintaining and developing equipment and systems within the Workshop in a manner that upholds the quality of the operation with regards to production output, product quality and cost effectiveness.

 

  • Maintenance of site equipment and systems in accordance with health and safety, quality and food hygiene standards.
  • Support with the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of all equipment as and when required.
  • Provide quick and effective reactive breakdown maintenance of site equipment
  • Effective communication with all key stakeholders to ensure departmental goals/priorities are achieved.

 

Your ingredients for success

  • Must have a Time Served Apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent, ideally with a Mechanical background.
  • Will be self-motivated to work alone or part of a team.
  • Experience of various types of workshop machinery, including Lathe, Miller etc is essential.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
