POSITION SUMMARY

The Channel Category Sales Development Manager is responsible for leading Category Sales Development for assigned categories, and driving channel strategies aligned with consumer marketing plans. They will partner with Channel Development and Consumer Marketing teams to ensure flawless execution of category initiatives. Evaluates key investments and leverages cross-functional collaboration across Field Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and other teams to maximize business performance.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Lead shopper insight development for assigned categories and use findings to guide commercial planning and category segmentation.
  • Define category vision and growth strategy, including merchandising, POS guidelines, and activation plans for priority channels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Channel Development, Consumer Marketing, and Field Sales teams to ensure flawless execution and strong joint business planning.
  • Drive planning processes (ICP, MBP) and develop annual commercial activity calendars aligned with category growth targets.
  • Monitor market and competitor trends, evaluate promotional activities, and maintain a learning log for continuous improvement.
  • Optimize resources and investments, recommend TTS budgets, and provide strategic selling frameworks to support negotiations.                      

 

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business, or related field; Master’s in Management Studies is a plus.
  • Minimum 4+ years of commercial experience in Sales and Marketing with proven success in customer-facing roles.
  • Strong understanding of customers, selling processes, and key business functions.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
