POSITION SUMMARY

 

As our Factory Controller, you will be responsible for supporting as a Strategic financial co-pilot to the Factory Manager as a trusted co-pilot within the Operations leadership team on a day to day as well as on a long-term strategic view. Provide visibility around costs related to the Factory Operations processes through driving of relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances), ensuring adherence to financial legal requirements and NAS.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

 

  • You will coordinate reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close) across Factory Operations.
  • You will provide DF (budget) forecasting: Coordinate across Factory Operations and ensure an accurate overview of Factory relevant costs monthly, perform variance analysis and share detailed comments behind deviations.
  • You will challenge assumptions and seek cost improvements opportunities in the Factory, review proposed savings and benchmark against predefined targets and challenge status quo on business specific requests on product packaging and formulations.
  • You will provide monthly / periodic overview on the overall factory performance to Factory Manager and senior management and address key risks and actions for materialising opportunities.
  • You will develop, control, and ensure robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests. Ensuring completeness and reliability of financial information for Capital Investments in the Factory.
  • You will ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development, implementation, and compliance with internal controls at the Factory.
  • You will work directly with shop floor personnel and resolve issues with shop floor financial tracking tolls. Daily check and ensure full transparency of costs and financial impact to the organization of strategic Operations decisions and KPIs. Lead efforts in driving for continuous cost improvement and ensuring the proper analysis and KPI’s.
  • You will participate and evaluate restructuring projects and ensure robust financial justifications.

 

 

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL

 

  • BSc Business Administration, Accounting (CPA) or International Accounting Accreditation, (MBA desirable)
  • At least 5-8 years of progressive Accounting Management experience including Cost Accounting.
  • At least 3 years in an FMCG environment
  • Prior experience as Plant Controller or SC Controller
  • Prior experience in other finance departments including, Audit and Business Controlling
  • Prior experience in a multicultural / varied nationality environment
  • Prior experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)
  • Strong decision making and judgement skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, analytical, and creative mind set.
