POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for improving factory equipment reliability and cost-effectiveness by implementing failure mitigation strategies, analysing data, and ensuring safety compliance. Develops procedures, conducts training, and leads knowledge transfer initiatives.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
- Develop and execute strategies to reduce and eliminate repetitive failures.
- Apply troubleshooting and problem-solving tools.
- Eliminate sources of contamination.
- Analyse all performance metrics and equipment data trends.
- Implement Predictive Maintenance and Condition-Based Monitoring strategies.
- Improve all AMM maintenance tasks/ plans (5W+1H).
- Work with Area Operators and Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot process and equipment issues to increase reliability.
- Perform data-driven improvement projects.
- Maintenance Optimisation using Reliability-Centered Maintenance strategies.
- Conduct cost analysis.
- Conduct Process "Gap Analysis".
- Manage and Assess vulnerability/ obsolescence study of critical spare parts.
- Prioritise and develop technical training modules.
- Train staff in the Job set-up and Format conversion.
- Lead the technical funnel evaluation and the transfer activities.
- Excellent execution of Maintenance Activities.
WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL
- BSc. Mechanical Engineering;
- 5+ yrs experience in Reliability or Condition Based Engineering;
- Experience working in an Engineering Team in a Production/ Operations environment;
- Lean Six Sigma certification will be considered an asset Competence in Project Management;
- PMP certification will be considered an asset;
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process-flow diagrams, technical manuals, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, spare parts catalogue and P&IDs;
- Computer Literacy (CMMS, AMM, SAP, DMO, Microsoft Office Suite).
