Position Summary
As an “Engineering CAPEX Manager”, you will be responsible for providing professional and functional leadership in Capital Investment Project Management across categories and geographies. This role entails developing and implementing standards, methodologies and tools to ensure the successful and efficient delivery of Capital Investment Projects (CAPEX projects), meeting the organization's business objectives.
Additionally, you will lead the competence development process across the engineering disciplines ensuring that the competency frameworks reflect the skills necessary to ensure the engineering community supports delivery of the businesses objectives.
A Day in the Life of an Engineering CAPEX Manager
- Own the Capital Investment Management workflow and related standards
- Lead the development and deployment of methodologies, tools and digital solutions to optimize project design and project management and enable safety and food safety by design, fast time to value, competitive costs and successful execution
- Provide general engineering insight and support for the CAPEX projects, ensuring adherence to corporate standards and confirming key enablers for a successful project are in place
- Lead and facilitate competence development programs aimed at empowering Project Managers to autonomously and successfully deliver CAPEX projects
- Ensure that the needs of engineering and its functional competencies are identified and that training is oriented to meet these needs and allows closure of competency gaps
- Manage the review, creation and deployment of new ways to disseminate engineering knowledge to the Markets, using more cost effective and modern channels
- Lead corporate engineering communication plan
What will make you successful
- Extensive proven experience in a technical field, with high exposure to project management, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry
- Solid experience in managing CAPEX projects, as project leader or within a multidisciplinary project team, including preparation of the investment budgets and participation in preparing business plans
- Previous experience as line manager, delivering results through others with highly developed communication skills
- Passionate to ensure that people and expertise are developed and maintained through engaging programs
- Advanced strategy thinking skills, curious
- Fluent in English
