As Group Statutory Reporting Supervisor, you will be responsible for a defined portfolio of entities, overseeing Period End Closing, statutory reporting, and remaining accounting-related processes in the market. You will act as guardian of market accounting policies and procedures, safeguarding balance sheet integrity, and serve as a key point of contact for Shared Services Centers on Accounting Operations questions and improvement initiatives. In this role, you will also partner with the wider Finance community to strengthen controls, service quality, and end-to-end improvements.
How you’ll make an impact as Group Statutory Reporting Supervisor
- Coordinating Period End Closing in a network organization, including Shared Services, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Acting as a trusted partner and key link with the Finance community, including the CFOs, Business Controllers, Group Consolidation, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with Nestlé guidelines, instructions, and best practices across market-related scopes.
- Collaborating actively with Shared Services Centers and Functions to drive end-to-end improvement initiatives.
- Producing market statutory reporting in compliance with Swiss accounting regulations.
- Coordinating the completion of remaining in-market Group reporting responsibilities and publication, including equity reconciliation.
- Acting as a subject matter expert on specific IFRS and local GAAP requirements, including the Code of Obligations and Swiss GAAP FER.
What will make you successful
- Strong background in the Finance, Accounting, or a related field, complemented by a professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant or equivalent; a Swiss GAAP-specific certification, such as Swiss CPA or similar, is a strong asset.
- Bringing established experience in accounting and audit, ideally including tax accounting, gained within a Big 4 firm or a corporate international environment.
- Demonstrating significant in-house statutory accounting experience, with a proven track record of delivering finance and accounting projects.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and communicate with management, Finance & Control leadership, and external parties, including external auditors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Significant and demonstrated experience in in-house statutory accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with SAP and CFiN is an advantage.
- Fluent in English, with French preferred.
