Position Summary

 

As an IP Administrative Specialist, you will handle Trademark portfolio(s) and coordinate projects in the field of digitalization and automation.

A Day in the Life of an IP Administrative Specialist

 

  • Handle Trademark portfolio(s) on a global basis. e.g. 
    • Trademark, Design, Copyright, Domain Name clearance, protection and defense
    • Draft and negotiate standard contract clauses relating to IP with supervision of IP Counsel(s)
    • Update internal database and create new files/records as needed, docket and monitor deadlines
    • Gather and organize evidence of use, sales figures and marketing materials to be provided to national Trademark Offices in support of trademark and design applications, oppositions and litigations
    • Assist the IP Counsel(s) in litigation activities
  • Bring proposals in terms of digitalization and automation in the field of IP with the aim of bringing efficiency
  • Oversee all aspects of projects from conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance and monitoring until implementation
  • Undertake or assist with projects involving legal research and information (trademark laws, jurisprudence, best practices, taskforce)

What will make you successful

 

  • 5 years’ experience in trademark field within an international environment or alternatively a law firm
  • Extensive experience in digitalization and automation in the field of IP as well as in project management
  • Proficient with online databases and with web-based IP Management System, ideally Memotech
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to successfully handle competing priorities
  • Flexible, proactive, team player, able to take initiatives
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English a must
