Position Summary  

 

As a Legal Counsel for Non-Financial Reporting, you will provide essential legal support to the team responsible for global Non-Financial Reporting (NFR) obligations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the corporate ESG organization to ensure compliance with the non-financial reporting obligations for Nestlé worldwide, while leveraging the strategic value of Nestlé’s Creating Shared Value agenda. The role will imply a close collaboration with teams in Legal and Compliance, ESG, Finance, and Public Affairs functions globally.

A Day in the Life of a Legal Counsel – Non-Financial Reporting

 

  • Support the implementation of Nestlé Group's non-financial reporting obligations through legal advisory, training, and contractual activities.
  • Assist the Nestlé Markets in meeting their increasing obligations for non-financial reporting.
  • Prepare and respond to the disclosure authorization process of the non-financial reporting guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and alignment with corporate strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to non-financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance on risk management and mitigation strategies.


What will make you successful

 

  • Law degree and relevant professional qualifications
  • Direct experience dealing with non-financial reporting obligations derived from the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
  • Ability to align non-financial reporting with broader corporate strategies and objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in utilizing digital tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with complexity and ability to collaborate cross-functionally at different levels of the organization  
  • Fast learner with the ability to work autonomously
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
