Our Research & Development center in Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland develops for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes and packaging in the areas of Dairy and Nutrition. The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Dairy plans and develops Innovation & Renovation pipelines to support growth and profitability of our Dairy business via a consumer centric approach. It ensures scientific, technological and manufacturing excellence through the development of the right competences.

Position Summary

 

Within the NPTC Dairy Packaging and Design department, we are looking for a Global R&D Senior Packaging Material Specialist for Aseptic Dairy Products that will develop and lead competence in this following specific area of expertise:

 

Your mission is to globally deliver technical & scientific recommendations to factories, Strategic Business Units and R&D centers. You will also provide competitive advantage through knowledge sharing and leverage expertise within the entire company.

A day in a life of a Global R&D Senior Packaging Material Specialist

 

Define and provide input to technology roadmap and project pipelines

Scout and validate new technologies and materials

Develop external collaborations, build and maintain relationships with key partners and suppliers

Lead your area of expertise in the aseptic technology platform

Proactively deploy expert knowledge in R&D projects    

Provide full support to Operations and R&D with effective and sustainable solutions using Best-In-Class standards and specifications

As one of the 5 core members, manage a community of 200 members spread out in 50+ factories operating aseptic technology worldwide. Act as the stream leader for Aseptic material

Lead competence development in the field of expertise through trainings and/or mentoring

What will make you successful

 

Master degree in material sciences technology/chemical engineering

Strong expertise in the area of responsibility on primary pack on sensitive, liquids products

7-10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, Dairy or beverage industry

5 years of internal experience within R&D/factory:

 - proven success in projects

 - delivering technical recommendations

 - participated actively in formal network activities

 - good understanding of operational set-up

 - able to integrate business context into activity

Fluent in English written & spoken
