As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Nestlé Baltics, you will play a key role in ensuring product compliance with food safety, quality, and legal standards across the Baltic region. Acting as the primary expert on labelling and product-related communications, you will support local business initiatives and maintain strong relationships with authorities and industry associations. Your proactive approach will help ensure accurate and compliant product information, contributing to our commitment to transparency, safety, and excellence in consumer trust. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Label text development based on local and EU legislation and company internal standards and requirements 

  • Labeling declarations and translations 

  • Recipe compliance assessment and validation 

  • Regulatory Affairs risk assessment 

  • Artwork approvals and specifications 

  • Sustainability claims and commercial communication compliance 

  • Monitoring changes in EU and local legislation, providing input, assessing the potential regulatory issues 

  • Work with label development tools (LTDF, Devex, SAP labelling, etc.) and alerting systems (REWE etc.) 

  • Regulatory advocacy and external relationships with local authorities, associations 

  • Technical acceptance of all new products 

  • Ensuring stickering and co-packing process compliance 

  • Ensuring quality, safety, and legal compliance of non-food items (promotional items) 

  • Collaborate with central Regulatory affairs teams 

 

Requirements:   

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a regulatory team or in such regulatory tasks as labels creation/approval and other food legislation areas 

  • Applied knowledge in at least several of the regulatory related topics such as food safety, consumer information, nutrition & health, compliance, additives, or quality 

  • Knowledge and experience in local compliance legislation 

  • Background in life science and/or legal 

  • Ability to link with other scientific/technical disciplines (nutrition, analytical chemistry) 

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English 

  • Very responsible, accurate, observant, with high quality and compliance standards 

  • Communication skills at all levels across the organization 

  • Curious, pro-active, and self-motivated
