Nestlé Waters Management & Technology (Global head Office), the NQAC (Nestlé Quality Assurance Centre), a global referral and state-of-art testing laboratory located at Vittel (France) is looking for an Analytical expert in vibrational spectroscopy methods.

  • Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in analytical spectroscopy method
Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing testing or scientific investigation projects, perform complex spectroscopy analyses, and take part in activities to develop, optimise and adapt analytical methods as part of the NQAC's development plans.

A day in the life of an Analytical expert in vibrational spectroscopy methods

In an ISO 17025 innovative and global environment, the incumbent will:

 

  • Manage international R&D and scientific investigation projects in water, food and packaging projects;
  • Perform complex spectroscopy analyses in environmental, food and packaging samples;  
  • Manage and implement assigned projects to develop, fine-tune, validate and transfer new testing methods, in keeping with Quality, Safety and Environmental regulations;
  • Help to maintain scientific and technological watch for the laboratory in the spectroscopy field at global level;
  • Provide scientific and technical expertise (report, presentation, data interpretation) to the different teams and support to all clients of the laboratory.
What will make you successful
  • At least a master's degree or higher in Chemistry
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in analytical spectroscopy methods
  • Sound knowledge of spectroscopy methods combined with optic (Raman, IR, Electronic Microscope…)
  • Sound knowledge of the developing and validation of testing methods & chemometrics
  • Knowledge of water, beverage, food or packaging would be an additional advantage
  • Fluent English
  • Self-starter, dynamic and team player
  • Strict, well-organised, sound communication skills (speaks clearly and listens actively)
  • Makes relevant proposals, open-minded and analytical thinker
