Position summary

Led Research and Development  projects related to microbiological stability of beverages

Contribute to the development, innovation and renovation of products/processes/systems from inception through all development stage gates

Build expertise and apply knowledge in the field of microbiology in order to provide relevant scientific/technical guidance in response to business and consumer needs

A day in the life of a Microbiology expert

Research and development

  • Led Research and Development projects related to microbiological stability of beverages (including among others the construction of predictive models and the evaluation of natural preservatives). Issue corresponding scientific publications and sharing results among the Nestlé scientific community and research centers
  • Build and document knowledge in the field of microbiology and share about latest methods, trends and developments
  •  Explore patentable technologies, processes and ingredients (natrual preservatives)

 

Innovation/Rennovation

  • Work closely with project managers to ensure food safety and product quality into new projects. Support the development: pHACCP and pQMS assistance, validate Critical Control Point, assess microbiological risks of new ingredients and processes
  • Participate if required in post launch factory visits to assess the effectviceness of the transfer of quality parameters into Operations, participate in project closure/follow-up reviews with project managers and factory and market personnel

 
Tecnical assistance

  • Provide accurate and on-time support to Nestlé entities (NPTC, SBU, Application Groups, Operation) with effective (quality, cost and on-time) and sustainable solutions
  • Give operational support to customers, assistance in industrialization start-ups, follow-up product launches, including technical and product improvements
  • Conttribute to ensure zero waste and vertical setup up

 

Quality and Food Safety Systems

  • Contribute to implement, promote, and sustain the Nestlé Quality Management System, the NIMS Manual and the Quality Policy of the NNPTC
  • Continuously improve quality processes and procedures to guarantee food safety and regulatory compliance of development, samples and services as well as efficient processes and successful developments. Propose preventive actions in the organization

  • Demonstrated capability to lead a group of people and develop people 
  • Ability to manage resources and budget requirements
  • Good experience with Model HACCP and QMS building
  • Understanding of water or beverage businesses
