Position Summary

To ensure that the sites' fixed assets are capable of performing and consistently fit for the purpose of which they were intended. The key being asset reliability and overall plant performance. Additionally, to handle the introduction of new fixed assets into the company. This could involve the relocation and optimizing of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets. It may extend from the initial conceptual studies through to project closeout. 

A day in the life of...

  • Define, propose and monitor the Maintenance and Improvement (M&I) plans and objectives in accordance with the Engineering Policy
  • Lead and coordinate the M&I team and maintain competencies, motivation and performance to achieve the M&I teams' mission and objectives
  • Monitor plant/equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime
  • Optimize Predictive Maintenance technologies (Condition Monitoring and inspections) to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Liase with Production, Quality Management on a daily basis to resolve technical and/or operational issues  (Stoppage Analysis from Downtime Reporting System)
  • Coordinate 3rd party maintenance service providers to ensure high quality of service
  • Support engineering manager in the supervision of day to day activities on shop floor
  • Propose and control the M&I budget
  • Coordinate personnel (e.g. other project engineers, technicians, contractors etc.) to ensure the projects objectives are satisfied
  • Propose and control the cost of the project in accordance with to the Guidelines for Capital Investment
     

What will make you successful

  • University Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Master’s Degree would be considered as an advantage
  • 5 years' experience in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing or consumer goods industry (as Technician, Engineering Supervisor, maintenance Engineer, project engineer or other similar position)
  • Participation in the coordination and planning of maintenance activities, taken into account SHE, food safety and other constrains in order to optimize the coordination of all maintenance activities (including, mechanical, electrical, electromechanics, instrumentation, industrial services, E&A, and operators basic maintenance activities).
  • Work following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience in SAP would be considered as an advantage
  • Fluency in Greek & English
  • Analytical skills in problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills and service minded
  • Strong technical managerial and leadership skills
  • Project Engineering/Management
