Factory Analyst
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Factory Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support and expertise in cost and costing analysis, focusing on product costs and cost components to drive waste reduction with a zero-loss mindset. The Factory Analyst will conduct robust analyses, interpret results, and offer actionable recommendations to production and department heads. Participation in operational reviews and Total Delivered Cost forums will be essential. The ideal candidate will also serve as a subject matter expert in manufacturing costing, savings calculation, and prioritization.
A day in the life:
• Cost Reporting and Calculation:
o Serve as a finance ‘co-pilot’ for production teams.
o Calculate product costing, report actuals, and perform variance analysis.
o Manage period-end accounting and ensure compliance with CSM and NAS.
o Utilize SAP knowledge in the manufacturing module.
• Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement:
o Identify and engage in waste elimination and cost reduction projects.
o Analyze impacts on product costing and monitor variances.
o Seek opportunities for improving OPEX savings.
• Internal Controls:
o Ensure proper application of guidelines in costing processes.
o Update costing tools and act as SPOC for inventory and subcontracting issues.
• Knowledge Transfer:
o Promote understanding of costing processes within the factory and finance teams.
• Compliance:
o Ensure adherence to Nestlé financial policies and costing standards.
• Drive TDC Optimization:
o Challenge the status quo and track savings projects through cost-benefit analyses.
What will make you successful:
• Formal financial qualification University degree or equivalent
• Prior experience in Accounting or Costing, mandatorily within a factory operations
• Proficiency in language English
• Good knowledge of product composition
• Good knowledge of the manufacturing conversion process, and physical / technical aspects of a factory
• Good understanding of business processes, internal controls, the SAP, best practices & systems supporting these. E2E processes and functional best practices (particularly Finance & Control and Operations - Manufacturing)
• Good knowledge of Nestlé Costing Standards for Manufacturing
• Awareness of Nestlé Accounting Standards (NAS), and able to access
• Understanding of the Factory functions (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement) and their primary activities. NCE literate with good understanding of NCE methodologies and supporting tools
