Opportunity currently exists for a Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator to join the Manufacturing Excellence (ME) team based in our Wahgunyah Factory. In this role, the ME Coordinator will implement a sustainable continuous improvement culture on site through the engagement, development and support of people contributing to Nestlé Oceania's growth and profitability strategies.
A day in the life…
Reporting to the Manufacturing Excellence Manager, key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Drive the review of achieving the optimum operational performance and efficient utilisation of manufacturing assets, considering total delivered cost, quality, safety and service.
- Ensure implementation of corporate cost and performance improvement objectives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies related to operational performance, in particular correct implementation of GI 23.010-2 (Managing Manufacturing Performance).
- Co-ordinate review of Master Recipes and ensure all standards are updated at Standard Cost Budget (SCB) incorporating appropriate improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of 7 key standard routines.
- Ensure implementation of best practices as defined by the Best-in-Class repository.
- Network and benchmark actively with other sites to identify and implement best practices.
- Provide training and support to the production teams to ensure that factory systems and tools (SAP, DMO, NSAM) are correctly utilised. Run system health checks.
- Manage manufacturing standards and master recipes.
- Accountable for capacity data using the Capacity Summary Tool (CST) and keeping it updated at least yearly or as required.
- Establish annual continuous improvement plan and coordinate its implementation.

- Tertiary qualification in Science, Food Technology or Engineering.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing and relevant work experience either during or after studies.
- Good attitude to work and strong ability to have positive interactions with people.
- Ability to deliver results through others.
- Ability to train and coach continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience and familiarity working with SAP preferred.
