A day in the life of...
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for management of the Factory Materials team who manage Factory Warehousing, Materials Storage, Movement, and Waste streams at the Factory. With strong focus on driving performance, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance in areas of Safety, Environment, Quality, Cost, and People development.
You will be responsible to:
• Lead, coach and manage the team to excel in achieving line standards associated with production operation and the standard conditions & routines associated with Safety & the 4M's (Man, Machine, Method, Material).
• Inspire passion in safety and quality through leadership and actions
• Initiate problem solving, driving sustainable solutions and sharing learnings
• Demonstrate a "zero injury, defect, waste" mind-set
• Ensure compliance to Nestle and external requirements
• Collaborate with support departments
• Contribute to the smooth operation of factory through effective employee and industrial relations management
• Excel in use of operating systems & administration e.g., rostering, timekeeping for payroll, stoppage reporting systems, SAP etc
What will make you successful
To be successful, you will have:
• Ideally you have, 3 years previous experience in a leadership, supervisory or managerial role, ideally, within a FMCG production environment.
• Knowledge and experience in Warehouse management systems, Chain of responsibility, Materials handling equipment, Inventory and Material management in food manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Essential skills include excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set and demonstrable experience in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance.
• You will demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis, decision-making abilities.
Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
