Position Summary

 

Lead medium and/or large-scale data science initiatives at regional or global level. Define business requirements and lead the analytical team towards the implementation. Transform business needs into analytical concepts and translate those concepts into tangible business value.


 

A day in the life of a Product Owner...

 

 

  • Define problems and structure the solutions, improve processes, and find new development paths. Don’t be afraid to challenge and ask “Why” even a few times.
  • Lead business-side of new projects or rollouts and present results to stakeholders with a non-technical background.
  • Assess priorities coming from multiple businesses and technical stakeholders
  • to setup clear priorities for the analytical team.
  • Work across functions with supply chain directors, demand planners, data engineers and data scientists to ensure high-quality deliverables of an analytical product.
  • Prepare sufficient documentation of business requirements, processes, and agreements.

 

What will make You successful?

 

  • Having at least 2 years of experience in a similar position (product manager, business project owner, project manager, business consultant, business analyst, etc.).
  • Having strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the business to effectively utilize data for justifying assumptions and providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Having technical and business experience to effectively communicate opportunities and risks of analytical solutions to business executives, analytical team, and operations.
  • Knowledge of agile project management methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, KANBAN).
  • Knowledge of tools like Azure Boards/JIRA, Excel. Having Power BI and SQL skills would be advantageous. 
  • Knowledge of English allowing fluent business communication (min. B2).
  • Knowledge of basic Data Science concepts.
  • Knowledge within the area of Supply Chain Forecasting would be advantageous.
