Function:

The purpose of this job is to operate the convertos and related equipment, to weigh up, blend, and instantize powder for packaging according to Nestle USA specifications.

 

Duties:

  1. Set correct ingredient weights on Hardy Scale panel in accordance with blender batch formula, set order of draw, minitor the drawing up and weighing sequence, and re-compute scale hopper batches as appropriate.
  2. Coordinate with Instant Feed Operator as to the station each ingredient will be drawn from and keep informed as to number of draws remaining at the end of a flavor run.
  3. Regulate Merchen Feeder setting according to esablished rate or as directed by the Supervisor.
  4. Adjust tray inlet air pressure, temperature, and hood vacuum to promote the most desirable drying conditions for the products being produced.
  5. Regulate convertor belt vari0drie motors to ensure that correct slaking occurs on belt.
  6. Ensure proper screens are installed in rotex sifter and Azo sifter to produce the desired product density.
  7. Ensure that proper wetting of powder occurs in the hydrator tower by regulating water pressure, temperature, volume, using correct spinner/orifice combinations and ensuring nozzle position in the tower is correct.
  8. Operate lecithin system ensuring correct amount of lecithin is sprayed into blender as specified by blender batch formula.  Ensure nozzles are operating satisfactory and replenish lecithin barrels as required.
  9. Perform the periodic product sample test to ensure quality of product meets Company product specifications.
  10. Replenish filter media in plenum room as necessary.
  11. Repack homos, wash towers, belts, trays as needed.
  12. Assist in building cleaning of the work area and weekend cleanup.

  13. Maintain records on production and instantizing processes.
  14. Operate and monitor all instantizing and related equipment for proper operation.
  15. To dump Zeolex into Zeolex feeder when needed.
  16. Do ingredient usage using MES/SAP system.
  17. Perform sanitation and changover duties on convertor/processing equipment.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous lift truck certification and experience highly desired.

Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Ability to communicate written and orally in English.

Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis.

Willing and able to work overtime.

Willing and able to work various shifts.

Able to lift up to 50 pounds. 

 

**This is a 2nd shift position: 4 pm-12 am

Pay: $25.90

$1000 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment
