Position Summary

 

As Accounting Analyst, you will work on site at the new Williamsburg Township factory with the Engineering, Maintenance and Accounting teams to manage fixed assets, maintenance and capital spend. You will ensure compliance with the competitive bid policy, verify health of the work order system, and facilitate the timely closure of capital projects and affiliated cost reporting. In this role, you will lead fixed asset inventory audits and perform settlements, monthly accruals, forecasting and budgeting of maintenance, depreciation and provisional expenses.

 

The first several months of this position will require travel for training purposes to other Nestle Purina factory locations. There will be little to no travel required once the Williamsburg Township facility is operational.

 

  • Understand, investigate and resolve all discrepancies with invoices and accounts payables
  • Address errors and verify accuracy of purchase orders from the purchasing department to ensure proper inventory levels and payments are processed
  • Perform period-end activities including accruals, purchase order tracking, reporting and other activities needed to close the books
  • Provide standard guidance to maintenance and storeroom employees on proper accounting procedures including capital versus expense, relocation of equipment, retirement and scrapping policies, and depreciation guidelines
  • Monitor purchasing card program to ensure compliance with spend authority, taxable/non-taxable spend and spending limit reviews 
  • Coordinate internal audits, verify compliance and identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products and enterprise resource planning software to perform daily accounting functions

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 1+ year of experience in general accounting, cost accounting and/or inventory control in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $58,000 - $80,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
