Position Summary

As the Expert Engineer (Project Engineering Manager-Processing), you will manage minor and major capital projects from beginning to end (concept, scope, estimate, cost, resources, funding, etc.). You will also manage the design engineering and the construction process. The Sr. Project Manager will coordinate with the client as well as various other groups inside and outside of the organization.

 

  • Provide preliminary engineering, to include design concepts, preliminary cost estimates and time schedules, and engineering evaluations of the sites.
  • Approve equipment lists and procurement schedules.
  • Direct construction phases of the project.
  • Develop and maintain data, calculations, estimates, schedules, correspondence, and files in accordance with permanent records for projects.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in an assigned processing area, working on multiple extrusion projects. 


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 7+ years of project management experience (design and construction) in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment AND 5+ years with detailed design, procurement, estimating, and/ or construction of manufacturing facilities in a food and beverage industry, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 10+ years of project management experience (design and construction) in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment AND 7+ years with detailed design, procurement, estimating, and/ or construction of manufacturing facilities in a food and beverage industry, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry.


Other

  • Project Management Professional Certification preferred, but not required.
