Introducing Nestlé Purina’s new Williamsburg Township, Ohio, factory—just 30 miles east of Cincinnati. This world-class factory will be built from the ground up to produce a wide variety of some of the most trusted and beloved pet care brands in the U.S. Our passionate team in Williamsburg Township will work in an environment that values safety, the latest technology in manufacturing and a culture of learning. As a Food Safety Quality Associate, you’ll have the responsibility of ensuring the safe-vertical start-up and operational readiness of the factory to ensure the production of safe, high-quality products. This will involve conducting food safety inspections and risk assessments throughout the installation, commissioning, qualification, and verification (CQV) stages of projects. You will be tasked with identifying potential food safety risks, recommending mitigation measures, and escalating as necessary. Compliance with the company's quality and food safety policies, as well as regulatory laws, will be a key focus of this role. Additionally, you’ll take the lead in driving continuous improvement activities and upholding safety and quality as fundamental values.

 

  • Ensure the achievement of business objectives i.e., line performance, safety measures and product qualification.
  • Guarantee that start-up activities/tasks are in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support all aspects of the factory’s main laboratory, satellite laboratories, and quality and microbiology testing equipment including but not limited to hygienic design, quotes, ordering, purchasing, and installation. Ensure these are compliant with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities in relation to business processes and systems as well as support change management strategies when changes are needed.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years or food safety experience and/or hygienic design in a food manufacturing environment

 

Other

  • Knowledge and understanding of GMP policies and procedures, as well as proficiency in conducting food safety inspections and risk assessments, is highly desirable for this role.

This position will require travel up to 50% for the first 18 months and will gradually reduce as the Williamsburg Township facility approaches operational startup. The travel will include training at other Nestle Purina operating facilities and will assist with the startup of our Eden, NC plant.  

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $47,000 to $76,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
