• Basic inspections & planned checks: Carry out routine visual checks and basic planned checks as assigned (e.g., fire door condition/closure, eyewash stations, emergency exits/routes, lighting, doors, walkways, minor leaks, signage, spill kits) and escalate issues requiring specialist maintenance.
• Contractor coordination: Support visits for contractors by preparing access, escorting where required, and ensuring work areas are left safe and tidy; report contractor issues to the Industrial Engineer.
• Moves and small installations: Assist with moving furniture/equipment, minor assembly and installation tasks, and preparing areas for projects, audits or visitors.
• Waste & recycling support: Support segregation and housekeeping around waste/recycling areas; report any issues with skips, bins or collections.

• Good awareness of safe working practices, including manual handling, working at height (where trained), and safe use of basic tools.
• Ability to plan and prioritise a varied workload and respond to urgent requests appropriately.
• A tidy, methodical approach with pride in site presentation, housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Good communication skills and a helpful, customer-focused attitude with internal teams and contractors.
• Basic IT skills to log and update work requests (training can be provided). Qualifications (Preferred) • NVQ Level 2–3 (or equivalent experience) in a practical trade or facilities/maintenance discipline (e.g., maintenance operations, building maintenance, carpentry/joinery, plumbing, decorating).
