Position Summary

 

This is an exciting opportunity with responsibility for line performance results as well as delivery of line objectives through coaching, empowering and engaging people to develop their capability and ways of working through NCE implementation. The successful incumbent will also ensure that line production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental needs (strive towards Manufacturing Excellence).

A day in the life of a System Performance Manager

 

  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with local laws and safety, health and environment standards by identifying risks associated to activities within area of responsibility (including those outsourced to or handled by external providers).  Strive for zero unsafe conditions and behaviours to achieve zero accidents.
  • Manage production effectively through NCE reviews (SOR, DOR, WOR, LC) and use Standards Verification to ensure sustainable results.  Effective coordination of activity planning and production planning to ensure alignment of priorities. Use of NCE tools to identify and coach problem solving activity and knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvements.
  • Drive Manufacturing Excellence as a key member of Level 3 Factory Team, coaching their AWG Leaders and driving the NCE journey. Responsible for the area measures of AI, MSA, MUV and labour variances
  • Adopt and nurture a working style which actively involves and motivates the teams, promoting an environment of continuous improvement and excellence. Be an active member of Pillars and provide governance of TPM Implementation Plan.
  • Support the teams across all shifts including conducting of absence management and absence reviews, disciplinary (short of dismissal) and grievances, capability build plan and performance management.
  • Coordinate departmental communication. Provide and deliver information for departmental and factory team briefings. Key communication for relevant external stakeholders.
  • Govern data systems to ensure accurate information is being recorded and tracked. Effective use of GLOBE reporting and operating at core user level of competency, SAM and MES to allow data driven activities to be identified.                                                          
  • Develop organisational capability by supporting and coordinating in the transfer and enhancement of skills through coaching others and putting programmes/processes in place to continuously improve and share current best practice within the team.
What will make you successful

 

We are looking for a strong team player who is a self-starter and good communicator. A flexible approach and excellent attention to detail is a must. Exceptional planning and organisation skills are also key to be successful in this role. Experience in a food production environment would be an advantage.

 

  • Proven experience in a production manufacturing environment, knowledge of breakfast cereal processes and techniques is a plus.
  • Experience in a team leadership position advantageous, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of raw and packaging materials used in the production of breakfast cereals.
  • High level of mechanical and technical comprehension advantageous.
  • Understanding of Safety, Engineering, Quality and Labour regulations.
  • TPM or Lean Manufacturing experience is desirable.
