Job Title - Fork Lift Truck Lead Operator 
Location - Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
£38,886 per annum
42 hours per week – 4 days on followed by 4 days off (Days 06:00-18:00) 

 
Position Summary

 

We are seeking a self-motivated person with good communication and organisational skills, who is able to work under pressure and take responsibility to ensure safe working practices are followed.

A day in the life of FLT Lead Operator

 

You will need to be a good team player with a real drive for continuous improvement and willingness to develop and progress whilst demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.

 

Other key responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the team to work within safe conditions, driving a safe, zero loss culture to drive zero accidents and zero waste.
  • Lead continuous excellence through employee engagement using TPM tools to improve KPI’s and identify areas for improvement.
  • Receipt and despatch of goods.
  • Lead the sorting team to complete daily required FTQ and product pre-sorts
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety
  • Ensure ISO. GMP, Sap and HACCP procedures are adhered to
  • Be a role model for Personal Protective Equipment, Good Manufacturing Practice and ensure routines and Key Standard Routines are maintained, and challenge where appropriate.
  • Develop organisational capability through coaching others and sharing best practices with the teams across shifts and site.

  • Previous Team Leadership experience.
  • Forklift Truck license. 
  • Experience within FMCG environment.
