Location – Wisbech Factory (on site) 

 

Circa £45,000 (depending on experience) plus potential bonus + fantastic benefits 

 

Position Summary

 

We currently have a fantastic opportunity as a Maintenance Planner at our site in Wisbech Factory, Cambridgeshire. In the role you will ensure that all maintenance activities are planned and performed in an optimized way, considering all the potential constrains, like: available workforce, production schedule, severity of potential failure, safety, food safety, available tools and spare parts, as well as the corresponding prioritisation of activities.

A day in the life of a Maintenance Planner…

 

The Maintenance Planner will ensure that all maintenance activities are planned and performed in the most effective and efficient way, taking into consideration factors such as available resource, budget, production schedules, safety and available tools and spare parts. 

 

Other responsibilities will include: 

•    Execute the weekly maintenance planning routine. 
•    Coordinate maintenance team. 
•    Support technicians with breakdowns on a reactive basis. 
•    Be proactive and create the maintenance strategy for the future. 
•    Support the technical stores management. 
•    Build relationships across all levels of the factory. 
•    Focused improvement activities. 
•    Support with data in building the maintenance budget. 
•    Ensure sustainable safety practices. 
•    Support project implementation. 
•    Deliver breakdown reduction through BDAs and Work Order management. 
•    Be considered a SAP / Globe superuser.   


What will make you successful?

 

The person that is successful in this role will ideally have a background in Engineering and naturally drive improvement across engineering maintenance.    

 

Other attributes would include: 
•    Exposure to working within an Engineering environment would be preferred (e.g. mechanical) 
•    Ideally Degree / Diploma/ HNC in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial Engineering or similar). 
•    Manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment. 
•    Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels. 
•    A working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but not essential. 
•    Can do attitude to work with a drive to improve. 
•    Exposure to TPM will be consistent part of the role so experience would be advantageous.
