Salary ranging circa £43,000 per annum plus excellent companywide benefits 

 

Position Summary


The Manufacturing Excellence Specialist is responsible for sharing the knowledge to the factory pillar members in order to ensure a proper usage of the methodologies, driving continuous improvements in the key operational business processes throughout manufacturing.

A day in the life of a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist


Working closely with all function’s and pillar members from the different departments, the ME Specialist will support with their strategy, application, and delivery of Focused Improvement practices. In addition, you will help identify improvement opportunities and lead a number of projects throughout the year to deliver business needs. You will have good in-depth knowledge of and experience on TPM implementation and improving the skills of production and maintenance teams on common problem-solving and TPM/LEAN tools. 

 

Other key responsibilities include:


•    Train and coach teams in the correct use of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
•    Drive and coach the implementation of TPM practices delivering tangible results and culture change. 
•    Support the cascade of business and factory priorities into local Master Plan roadmaps. 
•    Use data gathering, tidying, analytics and visualisation techniques to effectively identity, prioritise and define projects. 
•    Lead and coach Lean Six Sigma projects using the DMAIC and SMED framework. 
•    Be a production co-pilot on our local continuous improvement journey. 
•    Benchmark with other factories within the market to capture, deploy and share best practices in the factory.
•    Continually focus on Key losses and build awareness and competence on the key tools to build a Zero loss mindset in the Local leadership team and shopfloor

 

What will make you successful


We are looking for someone who has a passion and commitment for improving and adding value to manufacturing processes, committed to compliance to factory standards and shows initiative. 


•    Experience in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to front line production management 
•    Experience on TPM methodology & implementation. 
•    Proficient use of MS Office tools 
•    Proficient use of specialised IT tools is an advantage (i.e. Minitab, R Studio, Anaconda, Power Bi, Power Apps, Flow, SAP HANA) 
•    Proven record of delivering continuous improvement projects and stakeholder management 
•    Excellent communication skills and an ability to coach and train; deliver messages, lead workshops, develop people in training / coaching environment.
•    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage
