Our Wisbech factory makes some of the UK’s most well-known wet petfood and much-loved brands, such as Felix, Winalot, Gourmet, and Purina ONE, and is constantly developing to meet the changing needs of our consumers. A day in the life of Reliability Maintenance Manager


As Reliability Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for constructing and executing the maintenance strategy for our equipment, including managing the budget. You will oversee the equipment and infrastructure of the entire packaging perimeter and lead a team of collaborators to ensure and improve equipment performance. Additionally, you will act as the guarantor and technical advisor for our masterclass installations.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise a team of technicians and masters, including recruitment, integration, skills development, organization, management, animation, annual evaluation, and career follow-up.
  • Coordinate, adjudicate, and prioritize activities and resources, ensuring effective flow of information within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations within the establishment and ensure that the team also complies with these rules.
  • Construct, track, and manage the budget for your area of responsibility.
  • Develop the autonomy of your employees in strategy and budget, while meeting and enforcing current regulations and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with your team and the production team to establish objectives and maintenance strategies for the masterclass, aligning with the factory's overall goals.
  • Lead in PM Pillar and maintenance methods, developing the autonomy of SCLs (Single-Component Leaders).
  • Prepare, implement, and continuously evolve preventive maintenance plans, coordinating the development of Maintenance and TPM/PM tools in your sector.
  • Analyze faults, coach and participate in fault analysis meetings, and organize the implementation of actions resulting from failure analysis.
  • Propose and drive improvement changes to enhance equipment performance.
  • Manage your team in the implementation and correct application of new processes, participating in the development of new work projects.
  • Ensure compliance with security rules and take necessary measures in case of non-compliance.

 
What will make you successful


To be successful in this role, you should ideally possess the following qualifications and skills:

 

  • HND/Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing discipline.
  • Previous experience working in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
  • Experience in safety management. 
  • Experience in preventative maintenance. 
  • People leadership experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Flexibility and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Teamwork abilities.
  • Technical analysis and problem-solving skills.
