We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to come and make a major impact on the UK&I Delivery Team that is transitioning to Transport Hub (THUB) ways of working this year in a Business Process Optimization Manager role.  

 

The UK&I Delivery Team has responsibility for the buying, planning and executing of transport for all domestic flows including factories, DCs, customers, pallets, inbound R&P, co-manufacturers and co packing for all categories.     

 

The 24/7, 364-day team supports business KPIs of service, cost and sustainability and ensures efficient and effective ways of working across the UK&I network, working collaboratively with our internal and external stakeholders to achieve this.

 

During this year the team will adapt new ways of working, process and system functionality by transitioning to THUB methodology: this role is critical to the success and optimisation of this change programme.

Your impact

 

This role will form part of the team responsible for transportation planning and operations.  

 

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

 

  • Both the identification and execution of T-Hub specific improvement initiatives as well as acting as voice for transportation in greater E2E improvement initiatives. You would be expected to build a pipeline of identified improvement initiatives across multiple operational facets including operational excellence, service improvement, and cost reduction.

 

  • This role will act as a foundational pillar for the behavioural application of holistic business improvement, sustainable operations, and effective change management.

 

  • Contribute to the construction of an atmosphere of continuous improvement by generating custom/ad-hoc reporting to assist in the operational reviews and identification of performance gaps.

 

  • Contribute to team competence and capability building by maintaining the robust process documentation developed in conjunction with the T-Hub/TCT projects.

 

  • Lead and manage a team of 2 direct reports to drive the deliverables described.

 

Your ingredients for success

 

The ideal candidate for this role, will be experienced in project delivery and will ideally bring experience from Supply Chain or Transportation.

 

  • Demonstrated resilience to change and experience of project implementation.
  • Proven improvement track record.
  • Experience using continuous improvement tools.
  • Understanding of transportation/ supply chain theory.
