Position Summary 

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join our team in Supply Chain as a Detailed Production Scheduler based In York. 

 

Do you have experience of a dynamic fast-paced supply chain environment?  Do you have the ability to analyse and interpret data? Do you have the mind-set and initiative for continuous improvement? Then this could be the role you are looking for. 

 

Nestlé York Factory is the home of the iconic confectionery brand KitKat amongst several other well-known brands such as Aero, Milkybar and Yorkie. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. 

 

A day in the life of a DPS Supply Planner 

 

You will be responsible for creating and managing a short-term supply plan recognising all constraints within the supply stream for those assets you manage, to meet customer demand. 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:   

Managing stock projections and ensuring the production plan meets our demand requirements. 

Reacting to changes in the MPS plan to ensure that we are making the right products at the right time to satisfy customer demands. 

Working closely with Operations to create a detailed production plan that appreciates the constraints of the assets for both packing and manufacturing. 

Controlling the inbound flow of key materials to the manufacturing operation. 

 

Who will make you successful? 

 

You will have strong knowledge and experience of supply chain preferably in an end-to-end planning or logistics role. You will have a strong problem-solving mind-set, as well as the ability to challenge and improve existing processes.  

 

The role involves working with large teams and interacting with people of all levels (both internally and externally) and you will be required to be an effective influencer and communicator. With excellent numeracy and analytical skills, you will also demonstrate an excellent understanding of software applications e.g. SAP & Microsoft Office. Your excellent teamwork and communication skills will be accompanied with a self-motivated attitude and flexible approach.
