Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to join our Nestlé Confectionery team as a Digital Marketing Manager. This is a brand new role based at our York office, home of Nestlé Confectionery, reporting into the eBusiness & Media Communications Manager. This opportunity will see you create, lead and accelerate the UK&I Confectionery eBusiness vision and roadmap across the whole digital eco-system. Working with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver excellence in this space with a selection of our world-famous Confectionery brands.

A day in the life of Digital Marketing Manager...

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for creating and driving the eBusiness roadmap for key in an inspiring way that really helps us to develop our eBusiness capabilities aligned to our vision. Working closely with a range of stakeholders to develop and accelerate our Direct 2 Consumer (D2C) offering that delivers the very best results. You will:

 

  • Develop and manage the creation of our D2C webshop through insight lead plans that deliver for our consumer, striving for technical excellence and actionable analytics that adds value.
  • Be responsible for the development and execution of our short to medium term plans that support achieving our longer term D2C ambitions through clear objectives aligned to the wider brand strategy.
  • Dive the eBusiness agenda through ensuring brand support to develop and implement data strategies, website development and digital roadmap.
  • Lead the strategy implementation and performance management of SEO and PPC in partnership with our search agencies.
  • Provide consulting expertise to optimise our brands digital media campaigns to meet campaign and brand objectives.
  • Consistently demonstrate thought leadership across the ‘digital' landscape within the context of the full online and offline ecosystem, including integrated campaigns.
  • Build great relationships across our media partner allowing efficient and effective media planning with best in class execution.
  • Explore the possibilities and benefits of a CRM programme, providing recommendations on the right approach.
  • Be responsible for the full D2C P&L budget.
  • Closely monitor industry and competitor activity, as well as brand performance, to ensure plans are maintained and adapted to a constantly changing, competitive FMCG environment.           

            

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate, you’ll be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have a breadth of fantastic digital, marketing and eCommerce experience under your belt. You’ll already have experience of working in a similar role within a matrix organisation. You’ll be passionate, results focused and enjoy working in an exciting environment. You’ll thrive when working with stakeholders across all levels coupled with your ability to truly understand our business from a commercial standpoint. You’ll have fantastic communication skills and understand how your decisions impact our Confectionery business strategy. You’ll love working in an environment that isn’t always black and white, being able to navigate yourself and stakeholders to positive solutions. Other key skills include:

 

  • Have previous experience of Digital and eCommerce, working in an environment that is constantly evolving, identifying opportunities that deliver our commercial plans.
  • Proven experience of PCC and SEO.
  • The ability to demonstrate great presentation skills, targeting a wide audience through a storytelling approach.
  • Solid experience of agency management and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking with a tenacity to drive forward change.
