We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Finance professional to join our Nestlé Product Technology Centre for Confectionery & Snacking in York. As our Finance Co‑Pilot, you will partner with senior leaders to shape strategy, drive performance, and deliver world‑class financial stewardship across five global R&D sites.

NPTC Confectionery & Snacking York is Nestlé’s leading centre for confectionery & snacking Research & Development worldwide, working in partnership with 3 development centres in Chile, China and Ivory Coast. In York we are a team of 170 amazing people from over 30 nationalities and a variety of academia. We have a real focus on inclusion and belonging, an active Wellness program and we support over 50 factories globally. Our objective is to provide ideas, technical innovation and scientific support (for product, process and technology) to continually improve and grow the confectionery business. Your impact

 

As the R&D Finance Co‑Pilot, you will take ownership of all Finance & Control activities for NPTC Confectionery & Snacking in York while supporting category budgets across Santiago, Dongguan, Singapore, and Orbe. You will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure robust compliance, drive continuous improvement, and coach a high‑performing finance team.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Deliver clear financial insights to senior leaders, guiding budgets, forecasts, and operational spend.
  • Partner globally with R&D central finance team, influencing investment decisions through robust business cases, forecasts, and financial leadership across five centres.
  • Shape and execute the financial strategy, challenging assumptions and influencing strategic direction through scenario modelling and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead compliance activities including audits, governance, shared service adoption, and R&D tax credit processes, acting as key interface with central & external stakeholders
  • Manage and develop the NPTC Finance team while driving digital tools, best practices, and continuous improvement.

 

 

 

Your ingredients for success 

 

You will be a qualified finance professional with strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You’ll bring confidence in constructively challenging and influencing senior stakeholders, a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities, and the ability to translate insights into clear, compelling strategic recommendations. With a coaching mindset and the ability to lead and develop others, you’ll thrive in a global, collaborative environment. Experience within Finance & Control, operational finance, or continuous improvement will further set you apart.

 

 

 

You will also:-

 

  • CIMA / ACCA qualified.
  • Strong communicator, able to influence at all levels.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Ability to challenge constructively and add value to decision‑making.
  • Passion for coaching and developing others.
