Position Summary

We are looking for a Head of Insight to work directly with colleagues in the Nestlé Professional Division to inspire better business outcomes and unlock future growth for the company. This will be primarily achieved through informing business strategy by identifying and understanding consumer needs and customer dilemmas that NP can meet and resolve. To do this, the Head of Insight will lead the business in developing a sophisticated understanding of customers, channels, categories, shopper missions & path to purchases in the Out of Home Environment, and identify & articulate opportunities for future growth to key stakeholders within the Division.

A day in the life of...

  • Work with the Marketing Lead to ensure high quality insight input into the strategic planning cycle to help deliver best in class commercial plans and drive business results.
  • Instil ‘5C Insight’ (Context, Consumer, Competitor, Customer, Channel) at the heart of NP UK&I by developing expertise in real time analysis of complex, multi-dimensional issues and employing innovative methodologies and best in class agency partners.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing and insight colleagues within division to help direct external impact on customers through best in class insight application, thought leadership, organisational selling & CLM enablement.
  • Ensure budget is spent efficiently, questioning the value of all insight spend and whether spend is necessary or business decision can be made with available knowledge and business expertise.
  • Embrace and action the Group Insight ‘3 pillars’ of Expertise, Talent and Business Outcomes, being seen as a strategic business partner to inspire better business outcomes.
  • Help build exceptional talent by managing, motivating and mentoring 2 Strategic Insight Managers to be the best that they can be.

 

This role carries accountability for insight covering:

Brands: Nescafe Original, Nescafe Gold Blend, Nescafe Azera, Nescafe Dolce Gusto, Nescafe & Go, Maggi, Chef and Nestle Confectionery in the OOH environment

 

Across OOH Channels: Workplace, Healthcare, Education, Pubs, Casual Dining, FSR, Hotels, QSR, Travel & Leisure, Convenience

 

Across OOH RTM:  DWS, Office Supplies, e Hotels, Q, C&C & Buying Groups,

What will make you successful?

To be successful in this role you will already have a breadth of fantastic insight experience under your belt working at a senior level ideally within a FMCG environment. You will thrive when working with stakeholders across all levels coupled with your ability to truly understand our business from a commercial standpoint. You will have fantastic communication skills and understand how your decisions impact the commercial strategy for NP. You will love working in an environment that is not always black and white, being able to navigate both yourself and stakeholders to a positive solution. You will also:

 

  • Demonstrate previous cross functional leadership experience.
  • Have strong presentation skills, targeting a wide audience. 
  • Understand the importance of coaching and developing people, helping them to be the best that they can be.
  • Demonstrate strategic insight generation, market research and analytical techniques.
  • Have experience of commercial/marketing/sales management.
  • Have experience of innovation from ideation to product launch.
  • Demonstrate a passion for Insight & Foodservice Industry.
