Position Summary

 

As a Legal Intern in our R&D  global legal team, you will be involved in enhancing processes, implementing new templates, and supporting contract drafting and negotiating activities. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives, update training materials, and maintain accurate documentation and databases. his is a great  opportunity that can significantly contribute to your personal and professional development.

Nestle Production Technoloy Centre (NPTC) Confectionery (York) is the leading global centre for confectionery research & development and works closely with Nestlé world-wide.  Our objective is to provide ideas, technical innovation and scientific support including product, process, technology and packaging development necessary for the future growth and profitability of the confectionery business.  

 

A Day in the Life of a Legal R&D Intern

 

This is a great opportunity to build experience whilst working under the supervision and guidance of the Legal R&D team members, This will include;

 

  • Implementing new templates as needed / fix issues/ update clauses and to assist the pilots in R&D Centers
  • Contract Playbooks (to follow up with contract template owners to ensure the playbook is populated & consistent and updated)
  • Draft, review or negotiate R&D contracts
  • Implement elements of the R&D compliance program for Nestlé's R&D units
  • Support the deployment of our contract management and negotiation tools
  • Review and refine processes and training
  • Review and update the processes/mappings on the use of personal data

 

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Graduate in Law or equivalent 
  • Previous experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department of a company is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organization and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of adaptability and strong proactive skills
  • Able to work in cross functional environment
  • Curiosity and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
