We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work within our Market 3D printing team based on the York campus.

 

This is an opportunity to work in a team whose focus is to support all UK Factories with the replacement/redesign of parts and components on their unique machinery, using top of the range software and hardware.

Your impact

 

Reporting to the market Industrial Services Manager you are expected to identify, design and manufacture of 3D printed components to support the factory asset maintenance programmes aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity. Working as a 3D printing/Additive Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for designing, reverse engineering and manufacturing components to support the factory maintenance teams. This includes the operation of 3D printing equipment and post processing equipment.

This will be achieved through 3 key aspects to the role

Manage Existing Assets – Operation & Maintenance:

  • Operation of printing equipment.
  • Maintenance of printing equipment, following existing SOPs.
  • Manufacture of components to scheduled plan.
  • Post processing / Hand finishing of components as required.

Spare Parts Management & compliance administration:

 

  • Track raw material stock, ensure it is accurately tracked and maintained.
  • Track stock levels of in-house components are maintained, create production requests when required.
  • Distribution of manufactured components to UK sites as required.
  • Raise invoices, produce quotations and shipping and distribution of finished components

 

Engineering Design:


        - Support the factories with the reverse engineering of existing components.

        - Support the factories with the design of new components.
        - Create both 2D and 3D engineering drawings of components as required.
        - Ensure appropriate version control and file management of engineering drawings.

 

Stakeholder and Project Management:


        - Manage governance and project tracking for a portfolio of factories.

        - Working with the other team members, co-ordinate and manage the 3D Printing champion    network, including competency building, reporting and governance routines.

        - Liaising with Factory and Market stakeholders to track progress and savings.

  • Travel to uk site under range of portfolio to deliver workshops, coaching sessions and site level support.

 

 

Your ingredients for success

 

The person we are looking for will have but not limited to:

 

  • Proven track record with software not limited to but including Inventor, Bambu Labs & EIGER.
  • Creating Drawings from existing components and the ability to change it into a drawing
  • Proven Track record with SAP
