£40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience + Potential Bonus + additional benefits

Position Summary

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the team as a Maintenance Planner, based at our Confectionery factory in York, North Yorkshire.

 

Our Factory in York is one of the biggest confectionery factories in Nestlé where the iconic brands Kit Kat, Aero, Milkybar, Yorkie and Polo are manufactured.
 

A day in the life of a Maintenance Planner

 

The Maintenance Planner will ensure that all maintenance activities are planned and performed in the most effective and efficient way, taking into consideration factors such as available support, budget, production schedules, safety and available tools and spare parts.  

 

Other responsibilities will include:

 

  • Execute the weekly maintenance planning routine
  • Coordinate maintenance team
  • Support technicians with breakdowns on a reactive basis
  • Be proactive and create the maintenance strategy for the future
  • Support the technical stores management
  • Build relationships across all levels of the factory
  • Focused improvement activities
  • Support with data in building the maintenance budget
     
What will make you successful

 

The person that is successful in this role will naturally drive improvement across engineering maintenance.  

 

Other attributes would include:

 

  • Manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels.
  • A working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Can do attitude to work with a drive to improve.
  • Exposure to working within an Engineering environment would be preferred (e.g. mechanical)
  • Ideally, you will be degree educated but this is not essential. 
  • Exposure to TPM is consistent part of the role.
