Reporting directly into the UK&I Head of Corporate Brand and Nutrition, Health and Wellness you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of our Nestlé Confectionery permissibility roadmap. A little bit about us
Here at Nestlé Confectionery, we have an ambition to be the UK&I’s fastest growing and most trusted Confectionery and sweet snacking company by helping to make life happier, healthier and more sustainable. This really is a great time to join the team and be a part of something exciting.
A day in the life of a Nutrition Manager...
It’s fair to say this is a varied role that will see you provide expert guidance to the business, being responsible for the nutritional integrity of products across a number of well-known brands such as KitKat, SMARTIES and many more.
You will also:
- Provide nutrition leadership and direction and influence innovation and renovation in line with our nutritional aspirations.
- Manage product nutrition information and ensure scientific accuracy and credibility in communications.
- Act as the Confectionery spokesperson and take the lead on preparing responses to key nutritional issues in the external arena.
- Track progress against our internal and external nutrition commitments to ensure these are met, while delivering great tasting confectionery products that our consumers love.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, category, corporate affairs, technical and regulatory to drive best in class results.
- Work in close collaboration with a range of stakeholders, coaching and educating them across all things relating to nutrition, health and wellness.
- Keep up to date with industry news and bring insight on external developments back into the category.
What will make you successful?
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who has studied an Association for Nutrition accredited undergraduate degree and/or is eligible for entry onto the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN); or someone who is eligible to apply for registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HPCP) as a Dietitian.
You will already have some fantastic commercial experience under your belt as a Nutritionist in a UK environment and within FMCG would be advantageous. You’ll be comfortable speaking in commercial forums about nutrition and health and be able to develop great relationships, both internally and externally. Having the tenacity to challenge the status quo is key, as is the ability to work independently from your core team to support the Confectionery business to achieve great things.
You will also:
- Have an awareness of the UK external environment, for example National Food Strategy and evolving public health discussions
- Have a detailed understanding of the upcoming HFSS legislation and the impacts businesses are facing.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as you will need to manage an extensive network of internal stakeholders whilst also representing Nestlé UK externally.
- Be able to demonstrate your technical knowledge and ability to inspire and gain trust.
- Have great attention to detail, be computer literate, motivated, and enthusiastic and it goes without saying you’ll have a strong interest in nutrition, food and health!

What can we offer in return? We will provide support and coaching to help you develop yourself in your career and as an individual.
