Location: York (Hybrid with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office)

Position Summary

We are looking for a People Partner on a 12 month fixed term contract to join our team, providing essential HR support and guidance to people leaders within our corporate functions and categories across Nestlé UK & Ireland. You will also work closely with other people partners, our centralised Centre of Scale, Centre of Competence and other HR professionals. While this role can be demanding, it offers the chance to make a real difference in the workplace.

 

Your Impact

Our People Partner roles are not limited to one category or function, and as a result, you will have a broader understanding of the business as a whole.

 

You will:

  • Collaborate with people leaders across Nestlé UK & Ireland to support employee engagement, talent management, performance management, and complex employee relations queries. Coach and support these leaders to enhance their skills in developing and managing their teams, fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.
  • Partner with the Centre of Competence and Centre of Scale to assist and occasionally lead the implementation of HR projects and Continuous Improvement initiatives across Nestlé UK & Ireland.
  • Evaluate current organisational design and work with leaders to create structures that align with business strategy, including clarifying job descriptions, reporting lines, and accountability frameworks. Track project milestones to ensure effective introduction, implementation, and sustainability of changes.
  • Provide HR guidance to managers and employees during transitions, ensuring smooth navigation through changes such as restructuring and role transitions. Act as a cultural steward by reinforcing organisational values during these changes and supporting employees throughout the process.

 

This position provides the flexibility and autonomy to proactively address challenges and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws. It involves tackling people-related issues and projects, developing tailored solutions, and collaborating within a team of People Partners to deliver a consistent and effective HR service.

 

Your ingredients for success

We are looking for candidates with experience in operational HR and a solid understanding of core HR processes, such as performance management, recruitment, employee relations, and employment law. You should be proactive in your approach and focused on delivering positive outcomes for the business. As a minimum you’ll need a collaborative mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a practical approach will help you succeed in this role.
