Salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 pro rata depending on experience plus potential bonus and excellent benefits.

Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Communications Manager opportunity in the Nestle Product Technology Centre, based from the York site but with hybrid working available. This role gives you the creativity to communicate about our innovations, engaging with stakeholders to develop and deploy effective communication and engagement activities across a variety of channels.

With exciting projects on the horizon and working as part of a team at the forefront of innovation, this is a great opportunity to have an impact.

A day in the life of a Communications Manager

Ultimately, you will have the opportunity to strip back and develop plans for communicating our innovations, working closely with the R&D team to pull together and consolidate communications to ensure colleagues are informed, engaged and understand how their work contributes to NPTC goals and the company's overall strategy.

You will also:

  • Use your proven storytelling skills to support the internal communication and engagement strategy by developing plans, internal communications campaigns, materials and tools for internal communication activities. 
  • Working across all channels for R&D to reach all colleagues with relevant news and information.
  • Engage and manage relationship with Nestlé’s internal communities. 
  • Coordinating important events and visitors, working with stakeholders across the business to bring the events to life, aligning with global strategy and positive participants feedback. 
  • Collaborate with R&D and central corporate communications teams in the creation of R&D specific content.
  • Maintain a good network of contacts across the company in order to identify news and issues from a category perspective. 
     

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate, you will already have Communications experience under your belt. You will thrive when working with stakeholders across all levels coupled with your ability to quickly identify and grasp new topics. You will have professional communication skills and understand how to take people on a journey with you, using your creativity and storytelling skills. You will know the importance of being able to work calmly and with attention to details in situations that can often be pressured.  You will also: 

  • Proven track record in communications (journalism, public relations)
  • Experience of working in complex and international environment
  • Experience of working across different channels (print, live events, digital and social channels)
  • Exceptional writing skills, adept at concisely conveying complex messages and effectively addressing different audiences
  • Ability to identify news and content fit for use with internal and external audiences
  • Experience of managing suppliers and budgets
  • Event and supplier management
