Job Title: Senior Execution Specialist – 12 Month Fixed term Contract
Location: York
There would be an expectation of at least 3 days in the office to carry out the responsibilities of this role.
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25-day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

Position Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a transport department within a global business as Execution Specialist. Your role will involve driving service performance by proactively leading a team to identify and resolve potential service issues, communicating them as they are identified.
Our head office in York was chosen to become the base of Nestlé’s first and new European Transport Hub. The Hub has responsibility for planning and executing Nestlé’s transportation within Europe which simplify and standardise our European transportation processes. We manage the transport of intermarket flows between Nestlé ‘s European factories and distribution centres, as well as inbound raw and packaging materials from our major suppliers where opportunity arise.
A day in the life of a Senior Execution Specialist
You and the team will perform a variety of roles that range from tracking loads, to finding solutions to delays, dealing with the unexpected but ultimately ensuring that all European market queries are dealt with, and every load arrives, and if it doesn’t – why not.
All this whilst supporting the KPI balance of cost and service. As a Senior Service Specialist you will lead a small team, any escalations within the team and support the training of fellow team members.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leadership of a small team.
- Monitoring live loads within a transportation plan to ensure on-time delivery.
- Identifying potential issues and implement solutions to maintain customer service expectations.
- Proactively communicating to internal and external stakeholders regarding load status and resolution action plans.
- Incident Management and root cause with corrective action.
- Identifying systemic issues related to not meeting expected standards affecting carriers, DC's, customers, traffic, weather, etc., and develop solutions to resolve.
- Supporting training and development of team members.
- Working with Supply Chain teams to drive toward zero Transport failures.
What will make you successful
You will have an understanding of Supply Chain end to end processes. You will have worked in a service provision or fast paced operational environment. You will be proactive and creative to find solutions.
You will have strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships across Europe and a problem-solving mentality.
You will also:
- Be fluent in English (speaking and writing) - Essential
- Ideally have language skills in either Turkish, Spanish, Polish, German or French – Desirable
- Understanding of how to manage conflicting KPI’s - cost vs. service
- Be an analytical thinker
