Location:  York - Hybrid working: approx. 2 days per week in the office

Position Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Shopper Marketing Manager to join our Nestlé Confectionery UK Commercial Development Team (CDT) where you will translate the annual Integrated Commercial Plan (ICP) strategy and event calendar into full path to purchase customer plan.  You will lead senior customer engagement and ensure exceptional execution of shopper events to deliver unmissable visibility, unforgettable shopper and retail media communication, delivering measurable commercial impact.

Your impact

You will have strategic ownership of the shopper agenda with a leading grocery customer, from insight-led planning and differentiation through to exceptional execution, aligned to brand, customer, and format priorities, delivering unmissable visibility and unforgettable shopper and retail media communications.

 

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Senior-Level Engagement with your customer and media team to co-create long joint business plans, unlock growth opportunities, and drive innovation across the retail media ecosystem.  Additionally, taking ownership to improve Advantage Group Survey scores and ranking
  • Lead always-on e‑commerce and digital activation for grocery customers, linking online media with in‑store shopper marketing to create a connected omnichannel experience
  • Shopper Vision Roadmap: Develop and embed a long-term strategic roadmap to position Nestle as your customers most admired and progressive shopper & media partner
  • Retail Media Lighthouse Account: Act as a centre of excellence for Nestlé in the Market (NIM), showcasing best-in-class retail media activation, measurement, and media innovation
  • Provide day-to-day line management, support, and coaching to a Shopper Marketing Executive, with a focus on capability building, performance development, and fostering a collaborative team culture

 

 

Your ingredients for success

An inspirational leader, you’ll demonstrate great initiative and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.  Key to this role will be your ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders, and to energise and engage the business behind the wider impact of shopper marketing.

 

You will have a proven background in marketing or commercial roles within FMCG, especially in digital and shopper channels.   Previous experience or exposure to shopper or trade marketing, delivering customer focused plans with strong results is essential as is a strong understanding of the in-store and on-line retail environment, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and embrace challenge.

 

Other key skills and experience include:

 

  • Strong understanding of retail media networks                                                      
  • Omni-channel marketing plans including smart customer differentiation which delivers a commercial return on investment
  • Delivering and measuring retail media campaigns that drive visibility and conversion with a deep understanding of the retail media ecosystem.
  • Senior-level relationship management
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with retail media networks
  • Ownership of investment planning and ROI optimisation across shopper and media budgets
  • Experience in leading and coaching team direct reports, fostering a culture of communication, growth, and shared success.
