Position Summary

 

As Shopper Activation Manager, you’ll be required to Lead development of activation strategy for assigned Customer; optimising investment aligned to the commercial strategy. 

 

You will Identify, execute and evaluate shopper activation solutions which deliver competitive advantage, through detailed understanding of Nestle category plans, customer strategies, shopper insight and operational delivery.

A day in the life of...

 

Key responsibilities of this role will include: 

 

Develop tailored and consistent activation plans for the customers and deliver on those plans through to execution.

Secure early access to the Customer’s Marketing Plan (which falls out of the Customer’s annual plan) to ensure that Nestle is represented at all appropriate occasions

Develop, communicate and manage project plans for each event for the particular customers and ensure that all key stakeholders are aligned and updated regularly.

Work closely with the business managers and brand managers to develop the activation requirements for each event, bearing in mind best practice and customer needs.

Sell plans to customer and category teams securing buy in and sufficient resource to ensure activation.

Implement and manage, with category teams, all tailored marketing campaigns; evaluate and present performance

Develop an activation plan, as part of the JBP and Brand plans specifically for the customer

Deliver evaluation of activation investment in customers, identifying return on investment and key learnings.

 

What will make you successful

 

This is an exciting role, and we’re looking for commercially astute candidates with the following skills and experience:

 

Excellent customer facing skills from a sales/marketing/category role within the FMCG sector

Experience developing tailored and consistent activation event plans for the particular customers and delivering on those plans;

Experience of developing, communicating and managing project plans

A thorough understanding of retailer activation and the media opportunities that are available to support the delivery of the activation plans

Good commercial acumen and understanding of return on investment principles

Budget management experience

Strong negotiation skills
