Salary: £37,000.00 (inclusive of £31,050.00 base salary & £5,950.00 responsibility premium)

We are recruiting for an MHE Trainer in our York Distribution Centre. This is a permanent opportunity which will report into York DC Operations Manager.
At York DC we want to be famous for our people and have an ambition to become a Centre of Excellence for logistics in the market. We have a plan to make us pioneers for condition-based maintenance in automated warehousing & ambassadors for digital tools that we will then share knowledge across other Distribution Centres.
We distribute Nestle products from a broad range of categories including Confectionery, Beverage, Food, Dairy, Waters and Cereals to our customers in UK and Ireland as well as some export markets.

Your impact
Ultimately, you will be responsible for delivering MHE training to RTITB or equivalent standard for the York DC and an agreed range of internal and external customers.
In addition, the role will act as an expert in MHE driving standards and be able to advise the management team on such areas as safety and appropriate equipment.
Your other key responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with management team & Compliance Co-ordinator on training capacity and planning.
- Provide specialist knowledge to the management team on MHE matters and deliver familiarisation on new machinery as required.
- Maintain audit compliance to all internal and external guidelines/standards.
- Promote Safety Culture through Safe Driving, Accident Investigations, RRA processes.
- Maintain standards within the MHE training facility, ensuring all paperwork is completed and compliant as well as ensuring all training is booked into the training calendar.
Your ingredients for success
To be successful in this role you will already be a qualified MHE trainer with a recognised external body. Ideally you will have previous experience within an MHE Trainer role.
We can support with additional training courses but knowledge of MHE is essential.
Other key experiences will include but will not be limited to:
- Knowledge of warehouse processes
- An awareness of Health & Safety
- Understanding of training compliance
- Training and Coaching Competency
- Be an effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
