Position Summary

 

We are an established in-house function and we are proud to deliver occupational health and wellbeing services to help support Nestlé UK and Ireland.

Our occupational health services are centralised in York. There is a requirement to attend our York office in line with the operational need. Our services extend to UK factory sites and offices, so the role will require some UK travel and some of the role can be worked from home.

 

Core duties

Are in the provision of a comprehensive case management service for designated sites/units including servicing of management referral requests; rehabilitation and RTW programmes. We expect the post holder to take a proactive approach, ensuring all services are consistent with our operational aims and objectives. With high visibility and good communications, we expect the post holder to establish effective working relationships with all stakeholders.

A day in the life of...

 

Your day could involve clinical triage for the receipt of new referrals and advice/support to the business and you could be routinely screen employee health questionnaires for new candidates entering the company. You will be carrying out telephone appointments for any referrals sent to us and you will be helping to oversee a statutory health surveillance programme, receiving, and reviewing the results of screening tests remotely after site-based work is carried out. We work with eOPAS as a record data management system. We are continually striving to improve our services and we will provide opportunity for regular one to ones in the promotion and support of your continuous performance development.

What will make you successful

 

As the successful candidate, you will already have a breadth of Occupational Health experience. You will be qualified to diploma/graduate level and registered on Part 3 of the NMC register as a specialist occupational health nurse practitioner. You will thrive when working with stakeholders across all levels coupled with your ability to truly understand the existence of effective Occupational Health standards, systems and an auditing and monitoring system is essential for identifying potential risks to the business. You will have excellent communication skills and understand how to support and provide efficient line manager advice enabling managers to review and improve performance against key standards. Contributing to reduction in the cost of sickness absence; lost time through accidents and to accident claims.
