Position Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Project Management Lead and Portfolio Analyst, based at our home of Nestlé Confectionery, York Head Office within the context of hybrid working, reporting directly to the Head of Project Management Office for Confectionery. This really is an exciting time to join and lead the Confectionery Project Management team, helping to shape the project portfolio and take ownership for end-to-end projects.

A day in the life of the Project Management Lead and Portfolio Analyst

Key to this role will be your ability to energise and engage stakeholders at all levels across the business, leading a team of project managers, providing day to day coaching and development of the team whilst also ensuring the promotion and adoption across the Confectionery Category to our ways of working for our Idea to Launch processes, tools, and systems. 

 

Duties will include: 

 

Problem solving and the ability to make decisions with confidence in relation to business priorities 

Facilitating choice, trade-offs, and prioritisation of idea to launch Projects, whilst ensuring projects are resourced for success. 

Working closely with your manager and the Confectionery Leadership Team to provide transparency through analysing and recommending solutions on the Innovation & Renovation Portfolio  

The efficient, effective, and flawless End-to-End management of High and Medium complexity Innovation & Renovation projects.  

Promote and develop the I2L Mindset across the Confectionery Category. 

You have a proven track record of leading and creating high performing teams 

What will make you successful

To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated and passionate about being involved in projects. You will be logical and a highly organised thinker, always looking ahead to identify risks and opportunities, building contingency plans and have exceptional communication skills. You will have good attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. 

 

You will also have: 

 

Worked in a matrix style structure 

Possess excellent leadership skills and be able to create a climate of trust 

The courage and ability to solve problems 

Experience in business portfolio development  

Project Management skills (qualifications are desirable) 

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels 

Have a customer-centric, proactive approach with resilience and flexibility
