Business Developer Food - HoReCa
A day in the life of Business Developer Food - HoReCa
- Identify and pursue potential Horeca clients to grow the customer base using effective sales funneling techniques.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and current industry trends.
- Collaborate closely with customers to design and develop tailored food concepts that align with their requirements and Nestlé’s brand values.
- Present concepts and product offerings clearly and convincingly, working with marketing to ensure brand consistency.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to guarantee product availability and proper distribution.
- Monitor sales performance, track agreed numerical distribution, and support customers in maximizing sales opportunities.
- Coordinate order forecasting and timely delivery to meet monthly and yearly targets.
- Oversee execution of agreed sales and promotional activities, ensuring compliance with Nestlé’s Quality Management standards.
- Analyze sales data and market trends regularly to optimize sales and promotional plans, improving ROI.
- Prepare and present detailed monthly and yearly sales plans, customer engagement strategies, and performance reports to management.
- Track and manage trade budgets effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments, identifying opportunities to strengthen Nestlé’s position.
- Ensure timely follow-up on customer payments, claims, and product quality issues.
What will make you successful?
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- You have 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the food industry, preferably in the HoReCa sector.
- You have a strong understanding of the Croatian food market and HoReCa landscape.
- You have excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- You speak fluent Croatian and English; additional languages are a plus.
