Our pet food factory in Zanesville is favorably located along the banks of the Muskingum River in scenic east-central Ohio halfway between Columbus and Wheeling, West Virginia. This 100-year-old facility was acquired by Nestlé Purina in 1987 and has since evolved to incorporate our innovative portfolio of products, processes, and technical equipment. Zanesville is the only Nestlé Purina location that produces Alpo® Meal Helpers, Moist & Meaty®, and Beneful Simple Goodness for all of the United States and Canada—packaged and shipped with the utmost quality and nutrition.
We’re hiring Maintenance Technicians at our manufacturing facility in Zanesville, OH. The starting pay ranges from $29.26/hr to $34.82/hr with a Maintenance Progression Plan that provides increasing wages based on knowledge/skill demonstration and performance reviews. This is position is also eligible for a $3,750 sign-on bonus.
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll complete preventative and predictive maintenance task to support machine reliability and process improvements while always working in a safe manner to troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities
- Maintenance of plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation.
- Install and program Variable Frequency Drives.
- Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain switch gears, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motors including three phase systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs.
- Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
- Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment.
- Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs.
- Utilize thermal imaging and ultrasonic analysis.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a two-year technical degree completed.
Other
- Experience working with 480 industrial voltages preferred.
