POSITION SUMMARY:  

 

As a material handler you will be responsible for the quality and integrity of all finished product unit loads coming out of the Packing Department. You will store and stack finished goods in the warehouse and complete tasks using a forklift in a safe and efficient manner. In addition, you will also be operating tractor trailers from the plant to the warehouse.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Operate forklifts in assigned warehouse area, following safety procedures.
  • Maintain understanding of warehouse SOPs and adhere to them for proper equipment operation.
  • Troubleshoot palletizing interruptions, identify and assist in correcting problems, and report to supervisors and managers.
  • Perform material movements, declarations, and consumptions using RF Scanner.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality for finished product handling.
  • Ensure proper spacing between unit loads to prevent damage during inventory placement.
  • Monitor unit loads for accurate bar code labeling and case code dates.
  • Re-stack damaged unit loads and document on damage report.
  • Must be open to working 2nd shift and weekend shifts.
  • Must posess a current Class A CDL driver's license.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma or GED

Class A CDL driver’s license required

1 year experience in a production, manufacturing, military, or related environment preferred
